Creative Photography: Find your Voice (ONLINE) IN 660CP_ON

Explore who you are as a photographer and where you want to take your work in this intermediate-level project-focused course. Learn how to best combine your abilities and available resources toward creating a new body of work with message and impact, and presenting it to the viewer. Weekly assignments will include photo shoots, idea generation, proposal writing, and critiques. Ability with a digital or film camera and photo workflow is a prerequisite. Some technical issues will be addressed, but the core of the class is strengthening your creative outlook and practice. This is an asynchronous Canvas course with a weekly live Zoom session every Wednesday, 7 – 8 p.m. (See materials list for more information)

A handmade book can be a work of art! Learn to make your own sketchbooks and journals with noted artist and PAFA/UArts faculty, Rosae Reeder. Begin with simple structures including pamphlet, accordion/concertina, single and double section sewn books and progress to more advanced codex structures like hard cover paired station binding with combination single sheets and sections, French twist binding, and long-stitch binding with paper wrapper.
