Improve your ability to draw the human form with anatomical and spatial accuracy through lectures and demonstrations on proportions, skeletal framework, surface form, and movement. Designed to advance the skills of students who have studied drawing previously.

(Tuition includes $15 model fee.)

Learning Objectives

• Understand human proportions.

• Understand the mechanics of human movement.

• Learn figure drawing at different scales.

• Develop compositional skills.

• Make rapid informative sketches from the model.

• Make finished drawings using line or tone.

• Develop skills to construct figures from memory.

• Develop sketches into drawings that are descriptive of the subject.

• Organize and execute a large (36”) drawing.
