DR 710PP Pre-College Portfolio Preparation: Drawing

Ideal for teens who want to further their drawing skills and develop a strong body of work for their portfolios. Students will work in drawing media from the still life, PAFA’s historic cast collection and the human portrait to learn principles of composition, value, perspective, and drawing techniques.
• Become familiar with a wide range of drawing material and techniques.
• Acquire a working knowledge of the fundamental principles of drawing.
• Acquire the ability to depict observed and invented form through a mastery of perspective and proportion.
• Students will ultimately learn to “see.”
Saturday portfolio preparation classes present a valuable opportunity for teens to develop and hone their studio art skills under the guidance of PAFA faculty. Open to high school students entering or currently enrolled in 9th through 12th grades. All levels welcome. Register by: January 24
