Mastering Acrylics (ONLINE) PT 608EM_ON
with Frederic Kaplan
Explore the power and versatility of acrylic paints. If you have been uncertain about what can be done with acrylics or how they compare to oils, this course will reveal their tremendous strength. Fast-drying acrylics promote the rapid build-up of paint layers with little wait time. Opaque and transparent application techniques allow both the modeling of form through blending and daubing, and the development of richly complex color through glazing. Appropriate for students at all levels, including beginning painters, but drawing experience is recommended. This primarily-asynchronous Canvas course includes videos, illustrated lessons and critiques. A weekly Zoom meeting will be held every Wednesday at 6 - 7 p.m., beginning October 28.
Note: This class may also be taken for 1.0 undergraduate credit for $525
