Pre-College: Drawing from Observation: Building on Fundamentals, DR 705EH
with Roger Chavez
$425
Students with foundational drawing experience as well as beginners will focus on building their observational skills. Using the still-life, cityscape and nude model as subjects, various visual tools will be used to help see relationships between objects and shapes. In addition, students will learn the characteristics and limitations of the picture plane to gain a better understanding of what it means to draw on the flat surface. Students will become aware of historical and contemporary drawing materials and techniques giving them insight to historical drawings and their artists
Note: This class includes nude models, and $25 model fee.
Students must bring the supplies from materials list
Pre-College programs will be in-person to safely support young artists. All participants are required to be vaccinated and boosted (if eligible). PAFA will be limiting classroom density and deep cleaning all areas. We're excited to be a space of creative expression for teens!
